I wouldn’t say binge drinking is enjoying yourself. I started about a month ago, ended up in guys beds who I never knew at all, I thought it was all fun, but when I got raped it wasn’t fun anymore, it’s serious..
@Donkinator90 I agree also when schools hide statistics such as in part 3:03 of this video it makes the subject even more taboo and kids love taboo subjects. I know at UMaine-Orono ME I’ve heard rumors that everything from drug abuve to some rapes have been kept quiet so it doesn’t make Maine look bad. Even suicide rates kept quiet (Maine has a higher than national average on suicide rates). Anyway, hiding facts only makes things worse and more taboo, making them more of a big deal : (
A long time ago the University of Maine at Orono Maine, was rated in one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s TOP 10 Drinking Party Schools. For a long time the school tried to control this but in the past 5 to 10 years it’s got rampant again, not just Alcohol but other drugs (a meth lab was actually shut down that was runningin one of the dormatories). Drugs, Drinking, Pot are a huge problem at UMaine-Orono. It’s very sad. I”m guessing they’d be right back up on the top 10 list soon.
in my opinion when parents dont let their kids drink at all the kids dont learn their limits, look at europe, the drinking age is 18 and kids dont get as out of control, my parents told me that i would pay whatever consequences i get. When you completely dont allow kids to drink they go crazy when they hit college
Quran 5:90

Satan’s plan is (but) to excite enmity n hatred between u, with intoxicants n gambling, n hinder u 4m the remembrance of Allah, n 4m prayer: will ye not then abstain?”

You are very courageous for coming out and announcing your own encounter with the world of binge drinking. Both of my parents were alcoholics, my mother managed to stop but not before she wound up acquiring pancreatitis, so now she’s off of it for life. My father, on the other hand,…he didn’t stop, and passed away in ‘98.
I hope that youth today realizes just how much harm they are causing upon themselves before it’s too late =/
I am 33. Ive been a heavy drinker since i was 13. Any college kids or any drinkers reading this. Have a FEW beers or equivalent drinks once in awhile. When it becomes a binge or you do it often it takes the relaxation and fun out of it and will cause you numerous life and health problems.
wtf these college kids ar real childish with there drink …i drank like them when i was 13 and when ur 15/16 u grow out of all that drinking to get drunk thing..you only drink to hav a good time with friends..maybe its d drinkin age in d usa but in my country if u drink just to get drunk nd be cool anytin age over 16 you would be considered a kid nd sent back to play skoool ha

I don’t think kids go crazy from having more brain cells when abstaining from alcohol.
To die choking on your vomit on a lonely road isn’t exactly the way how we want to go.
